As the LGT Graduate Trainees, who are currently placed in various amazing teams across the organisation, we  have seen first-hand the incredible work that our colleagues do for our patients.

This year we are proud to be running in the London Big Half marathon on 3 September 2023 to fundraise for our very own Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust (LGT) Charity to help continue  and build-on some of the amazing work the charity  has done  for our patients and staff, including:

• Providing gaming carts  at the Children's Day Unit at UHL,  which can be a welcomed distraction for our young patients when they come in for test, procedures or minor surgery
• Winter appeal- where the charity purchased winter clothing for patients ensuring they are comfortable when returning home from hospital, and to purchase presents for children who were in hospital at UHL and QEH over the festive period.
• Improving rest areas for our valued staff.
• Wellbeing hubs, and dedicated emotional support, for frontline staff - which was particularly important during the Covid-19 pandemic

For most of us this will be our first half-marathon.  However, we are determined to take on this 21km challenge, and hope that you can be a part of our journey. Every donation you make, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and will be greatly appreciated.
