Hana / Wilf Runs the Big Half
My Story
Hey everyone!
I'll be running the Big Half Marathon on 3rd September to raise money for the charity that I work for - The Otakar Kraus Music Trust.
OKMT is a charity based in South West London, which aims to make music therapy and teaching accessible to some of the most vulnerable members of society. It provides 1-1 music therapy for people of all ages, as well as running community music therapy groups in partnership with local organisations for toddlers and parents, young children with special educational needs and disabilities, adults with learning disabilities or neurological conditions and elderly people with dementia and their carers.
Music therapy is particularly effective for those who find it difficult to communicate verbally because it does not rely on the ability to speak in order to be accessible. The impact that music therapy can make is incredible and I have seen first hand through assisting at group activities and workshops, the positive difference it can make to people's well-being, confidence and quality of life.
Please help to ensure OKMT can continue to provide access to affordable music therapy in the community by supporting me! Every donation, large or small, will be used to help excluded people to flourish through music. Thank you very much!
