My Story

After moving to the UK just under 2 years ago, I've finally built up the courage to take on my first half marathon on UK soil - and what a better way to do it than to raise much-needed funds for a local charity.

I have decided to run for Sutton Carers Centre, as they do amazing work in my local community to help ensure no carer has to reach crisis point before getting the support they need. Carers play a critical role in our community and they face all kinds of challenges - so let's not forget to care for the carers!

The Big Half follows a stunning 21km closed-road course, starting by London's iconic Tower Bridge and finishing at Cutty Sark in Greenwich. Although I live here now, I am still in tourist mode and am excited to be running a race in the streets of central London for the first time :)

I am also excited about this running festival bringing people of all backgrounds and abilities together in a celebration of the city's diversity - one of the many things I love about living in this City.

Any contribution that you can make towards Sutton Carers will be greatly appreciated - no donation is too small. If you'd like to read up a bit more on the charity: https://www.suttoncarerscentre.org
